Abstract

The article aims to approach the creation of the Syndicato Medico Paraense, the first trade union in the medical area in Pará State, Brazil, which appeared in 1931, consequent to the foundation of the Syndicato Medico Brasileiro, created in Rio de Janeiro in 1927, and try to find clues about its career, highlighting records of its actions, pointing hypotheses for its disappearance and its possible link to the current Sindicato dos Médicos do Pará.
