Frequently biological samples need to be transported from the time of its collection to final analysis. This process can occur within a single institution or between different institutions in the same city, and can also be directed to other states and countries. It implies, many times, the use of different types of transportation (bus, train or air) in sending this material. During this procedure can occur risk situations, considering the nature of the transported material and possible consequences in case of accidents during trips. Thus, this brief guide is intended to clarify about regulations, rules and guidelines related to the transportation of biological material at national level.
