Abstract

This article presents biographical and professional trajectory aspects of Jorge Boshell Manrique (1903-1976), and his work is described in studies of emerging diseases in the tropics with emphasis on the period he worked at Instituto Evandro Chagas as a member of the Belém Virus Laboratory linked to Rockfeller Foundation.
