ABSTRACT
This paper describe the early years of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and the expeditions to Brasilian Amazon, to the Cities of Belém and Manaus describing also what happened with the reserchers involved Herbert Durhan, Walter Myers and Harold Wolferstan Thomas.
